Visiting this page
The public page sets no cookie, runs no analytics and loads nothing from another site. Vercel hosts it, and its logs record each request's time, path and IP address for a short period under Vercel's own policy.
When you write to a shop
The form on a shop's contact page sends us your email address, your message and the page you wrote from. We keep them so that a person at that shop can read your message and answer you. Your IP address is held in memory for ten minutes to limit how many messages one sender can send, and is not stored with the message.
What we look up beside your message
To answer about an order, the inbox may read the matching order from the shop's Stripe account by your email address or the order number you wrote: what you bought, the amount and the date. It may ask orderlamp where the print is at the lab, and Parley for a first draft taken from the shop's own published pages. A person reads the draft, changes it as needed, and sends the reply from the shop's own mail.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept in the message store for three years after the conversation closes. If the store is not connected, your message is sent by email to the person on duty when that path is set, and in every case it is written once to the server log so that it is never lost; Vercel keeps that log for a short period under its own policy.
Who else handles it
Vercel hosts the inbox. Upstash holds the message store. Resend carries the email when the store is not connected. Stripe holds the order records the inbox reads. None of them receives your message for any purpose of its own.
Your choices
Write to the shop you contacted, or to support@painted.app, for a copy of your messages or for their deletion. We answer within 30 days.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
